Motorola Droid Pro – First Look

So Motorola has finally unveiled it’s newest to the Android line up, the Droid Pro, a very Blackberry-ish looking device aimed more at the Business crowd that’s boasting some pretty impressive specs and features.

It’s said to have onboard:

  • 1GHz OMAP 3620 with an MDM6600 chipset
  • 512MB of memory and 2GB of onboard storage
  • 802.11n 2.4GHz WIFI
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • tri-band UMTS
  • dual LED flash with an auto-focus camera
  • A programmable key on the side that asks you what you want it to do the first time you press it
  • 3G mobile hotspot support for up to five devices
  • Optional 1860mAh extended battery and case
  • Desktop charger dock like those for the Droid and Droid 2 but that holds the handset vertically
  • Push functionality
  • Supports SD card remote wipes (and full device encryption in Q1 2011)
  • Spellcheck integrated into the OS and a “multi-headed” VPN client
